The M.Z.K.Z. is an combination of the first letters of Modre Higijene and Klub Zagon, the two projects that made the two version of the slovene song Otok, ki ga ni (The island that's not there). The author of the lyrics is David Verlič, the authors of the music are Jakob Klemenčič and Martina Furlan. The original version of the song was made in the year 1998 for the project Modre Higijene. The song was selected for the television festival Melodije morja in sonca (Melodies od the sea and sun) and published in the compilation with the same name. Igor Mašera made a video for the internet.
Ana Lapajne recorded new vocals for the song in 2002 for the compilation Pop / Rock brez drog (Pop / Rock withoud drugs). This project was made under the name Klub Zagon.
All the versions of the song were available for free download on Jamendo in January 2009.
The second Klub Zagon version is also available here:
Slovene lyrics of Otok, ki ga ni:
Šla sem stran, saj ti le plavaš, ne poslušaš.
Iščeš otok, otok, ki ga ni.
Le zakaj ne čutiš mojega izbruha,
ki rojevam ga na dnu srca?
Refren:
Hej ti, ki plavaš proti toku!
Hej ti, ki tekmuješ z valovi!
Ali slišiš, kako pojejo zvonovi?
Ali slišiš, kako razbija mi srce?
Poletim in vidim plavati usodo.
Slišim ribe, govorijo mi.
Refren:
Hej ti, ki plavaš proti toku!
Hej ti, ki tekmuješ z valovi!
Ali slišiš, kako pojejo zvonovi?
Ali slišiš, kako razbija mi srce?
The english Lyrics of The island that's not there:
I went away as you only swim, never listen.
Looking for an island, an island that's not there.
Why can't you feel the eruption
I’m bringing to life at the bottom of my heart?
Refrain:
Hey you, swimming against the current!
Looking for an island, an island that's not there!
Can you hear the bells singing?
Can you hear my heart beating?
I fly and see my destiny aswim.
I hear the fish speaking to me.
